Aiden at school...

The "Special Helper" at school

Austin absolutely LOVES his school! He actually chose to go to school rather than spending a day at home with Daddy.

He's so funny! I captured this picture of Dave in the sun and he's so right!

Aiden will arrive soon!

This week has been some what of a roller coaster ride. Monday night Dave and I went into the hospital after I had been having contractions all day. Still being a few weeks from my due date, on heparin, and not dilated to the point of no return, the doctor decided to give me a shot to try and stop the labor process. My doctor took me off heparin in case I did go in to full blown labor. Thursday I had an amniocentesis to check the development on the baby's lungs. If they were developed, Dr. Martin was going to induce me that night. Everyone was sure that the lungs would be mature since the little guy was already trying to come on his own. The test showed that the lungs were still immature so we obviously didn't opt to have the baby. I've been really nervous with having been off blood thinners for a few days. We got a call this morning from the perinatologist letting us know that after sending the amniotic fluid off to an overnight lab the lungs are fully mature and we are ready to deliver. Crazy! So tomorrow morning we are headed off to the hospital to have another sweet baby boy! I can't wait to meet the little guy and to see Austin meet him.

The Potty Training Begins!

Let me just begin by saying "easier said than done!" Austin has been showing a lot of interest in going potty like a big boy and wearing big boy underwear and of course we've been constantly hearing how we should get him out of diapers before the baby comes so we took a shot at it. I can't tell you how many times we've heard not to even fool with pull-ups. That Austin should go straight to underwear and if he has an accident he'll hate the feeling so much that he won't want to do that again... another lie! I bought six pairs of underwear to start off with and it's 2:00 pm and we're already out. The boy just spreads his legs wide open where he stands and watches the stream trickle down. Yes, he's gone through ALL SIX PAIRS and has been on the potty probably 30 times today so that he can get the right amount of treats. I think we may both be ready to call it quits!

Boys will be Boys... no matter their age!

Austin could've thrown rocks all day!

Aiden's Precious Nursery... YEA it's done!

Our transformed bedroom!

Well, we made some major mistakes when it came to picking out things for our bedroom. Basically everything ended up being really red and got old quick! With the help of Dave's mom (Thanks Laurie!!) and her painting skills, we changed everything. We went with really light colors this time... I never want anything red again.
