The Potty Training Begins!

Let me just begin by saying "easier said than done!" Austin has been showing a lot of interest in going potty like a big boy and wearing big boy underwear and of course we've been constantly hearing how we should get him out of diapers before the baby comes so we took a shot at it. I can't tell you how many times we've heard not to even fool with pull-ups. That Austin should go straight to underwear and if he has an accident he'll hate the feeling so much that he won't want to do that again... another lie! I bought six pairs of underwear to start off with and it's 2:00 pm and we're already out. The boy just spreads his legs wide open where he stands and watches the stream trickle down. Yes, he's gone through ALL SIX PAIRS and has been on the potty probably 30 times today so that he can get the right amount of treats. I think we may both be ready to call it quits!

Well, we made some major mistakes when it came to picking out things for our bedroom. Basically everything ended up being really red and got old quick! With the help of Dave's mom (Thanks Laurie!!) and her painting skills, we changed everything. We went with really light colors this time... I never want anything red again.

Austin's Big Boy "Sports" Room

He absolutely loves his new sports room. He's helped pick out everything and nothing could have stopped this sports loving maniac from picking this theme. He's the only 2 year old I know that asks to watch Sports Center before bedtime.

The Gwinnett Braves game with Papa and Grandma

Papa and Grandma came for a visit from Michigan to spend time with us and help us get Aiden's nursery done. We all needed a break from painting and caulking so Austin took us all to one of his favorite places, the Gwinnett Braves game. We had a lot of fun and it was nice just sitting. I was kept busy fanning myself.... it was so HOT!
